The University of Manchester
“Breakthrough research with a global purpose…“
The Brief: We were invited by the University of Manchester to travel to Kenya and produce a film capturing their groundbreaking cancer care partnership in action. The aim was to document the rollout of Manchester’s research led model, from the opening of East Africa’s first Integrated Molecular Imaging Centre and Breast Care Centre of Excellence to outreach clinics and screenings in regional hospitals. We spoke with doctors, academics and patients to explore both the scale of the challenge and the steps being taken to improve early detection and outcomes.
Our focus was on telling a human story that highlights local leadership, collaboration and lasting impact. The final film captures how Kenyan and UK teams are working together to build a more resilient, inclusive and scalable approach to cancer care across East Africa. It is a powerful and hopeful piece that reflects the real world change being driven by global partnerships.
