About us and our journey
We’re Bogdan and Pav – the hairy and not-so-hairy filmmakers and adopted Mancunians behind The Eastern Blok with roots back to (yep, you guessed it) Eastern Europe.

What is your favourite and least favourite thing about your job?
My favourite thing has to be the creative liberty to bring a project to life. Creating a puzzle where you both have to figure out the pieces and how the final picture looks like. I like the challenge. My least favourite part is listening to Pav telling me tech facts about our equipment while I pretend to understand.

What is your favourite and least favourite thing about your job?
I love seeing when simple concepts take form in motion and being able to help with that process makes me feel accomplished. Also, I really enjoy using light to create different textures and moods . The least favourite part would be editing – fortunately I have a very skilled and passionate team who delivers fantastic results on every single project.
